Course Description

This course will familiarize the student with the procedures required to assess the operational condition of internal gas turbine components using borescope equipment.

Target Audience


Mechanical Maintenance


Instruction is given in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand spoken English is required.

A basic understanding of your gas turbine or completion of the LMS100 Engine Familiarization course is highly recommended, as well as a reasonable level of mechanical skill and use of hand tools is required.

Care and use of borescope equipment

Understanding inspection limits specified in O&M manuals

Applicable GEK/OMM work packages

Using a borescope to identify defects
