Gas Turbine - LM2500+  Level 2 Cold Maintenance 


Course Description

Instruction is designed so technical personnel responsible for the hands- on maintenance of the LM2500+ will benefit most from this training. Scope of training focuses on selected Level 2 procedures identified in the applicable Operation and Maintenance manual.

This course is intended for customers who want to expand their on-site/shipboard maintenance capabilities to include internal repairs of the GE LM2500+ Aeroderivative gas turbine.

Mechanical Maintenance


  • Instruction is given in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand spoken English is required.
  • A basic understanding of your gas turbine or completion of the LM2500+ Engine Familiarization course is highly recommended, as well as a reasonable level of mechanical skill and use of hand tools is required.

Learning Objectives

This course will provide basic knowledge on the following:

Use of OMM (Operation and Maintenance Manual)

Static balance program

Removal,   inspection   and   re-installation   of   internal   engine components  (radial  drive  shaft,  inlet  gear  box,  accessory  gear box, front frame, #3 bearing inner race, HP compressor case, HP compressor rotor blades)
