Course Description

This course provides the skills necessary to perform Level 2 Hot Maintenance on the LMS100 gas turbine.  In addition to classroom instruction, the course also includes hands-on maintenance procedures such as removal, inspection, and replacement of internal parts.

Prerequisites

Participants must have:

• Instruction is given in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand spoken English is required.
• Reasonable computer skills
• Basic understanding of your gas turbine or completion of the LMS100 Engine Familiarization course is highly recommended, as well as, reasonable level of mechanical skill and use of hand tools is required

Learning Objectives

This course will provide basic knowledge on the following:

• Removal of LP turbine
• Removal of HP turbine
• Removal of stage 1 nozzle
• Removal of combustor
• Removal of #5 bearing and inner race
• Replacement of stage 2 HP turbine nozzle
• Re-installation of combustor, stage 1 nozzle, HP turbine and LP turbine
