This course will provide basic knowledge on the following:
Requirements for optimum combustion of pulverized coal in a tangential fired steam generator Major components of GE’s tangential firing system How NOx is generated in the furnace and how it can be controlled Major components of GE’s LNCFS™ (Low NOx Concentric Firing System) Key operating variables that affect NOx Possible operating and/or mechanical conditions that could contribute to high NOx on GE’s LNCFS™ firing system Major Components of a GE RSFC™ Wall Fired Burner Possible operating and/or mechanical conditions that could contribute to high NOx on GE's RSFC™ Wall Fired Burner
