Steam Turbine Advanced Operation 

Course Description

This course is intended to enhance GE D11 Steam Turbine-Generator operation skills. The course provides a detailed overview of D11 turbine operating sequences and control and protection functions. The course builds upon student's operational skills. Develops a background in Steam Turbine-Generator (ST-GN) operation that enables participants to properly analyze operating problems and take the necessary corrective action. This course will focus on the ST-GN control and protection and will include discussions on auxiliary support systems.

The entire Alarm List (over 400), for the most current D11 control specification to date, as well as, full analysis of all possible unit Trips will be reviewed.

This course is intended for Operations, maintenance technicians, administrative personnel and those in affiliated industries who have a background in ST-GN operations and wish to gain further understanding of the operation of GE D-11 Steam Turbine.
