Course Description

In this course, the participant will be introduced to the various components of the Gaseous Fuel System and the functionality of each component.  This course will help the participant identify the chief causes of trips in the Gaseous Fuel System, and the strategies and guidelines for reducing the number of gas turbine trips related to the Gaseous Fuel System.  It will also familiarize the participant with the advantages and disadvantages of switching between fuels, and the safety guidelines to be followed while working in and around the turbine compartment, and the Gaseous Fuel System.

Prerequisites

  • Course material is in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand English is required.
  • The participant should have a basic understanding of the operational fundamentals of a gas turbine and an intimate familiarity with all the safety regulations and guidelines.
