This course is designed to enhance GE D11 Steam Turbine-Generator operation skills. The course provides a detailed overview of D11 turbine operating sequences and control and protection functions. The course builds upon student's operational skills. Develops a background in Steam Turbine-Generator (ST-GN) operation that enables participants to properly analyze operating problems and take the necessary corrective action. This course will focus on the ST-GN control and protection and will include discussions on auxiliary support systems. Please refer to the Agenda noted below.
We will review the entire Alarm List (over 400) for the most current D11 control specification to date as well as full analysis of all possible unit Trips.
The course consists of classroom lectures and a visit to the Steam Turbine manufacturing and assembly areas at our facility in Schenectady New York, USA. |

Introduce operations and maintenance personnel to the operation, maintenance and alarm troubleshooting procedures of the Mark VIe Aeroderivative gas turbine control system, to attain high levels of availability, and reliability from the turbine package. This course will also cover functional sensor & actuator description, troubleshooting, and a summary of calibration and inspections required for major turbine package.
The course designed primarily for LMS100 and Next Generation LM6000 Mark VIe applications. The course material and exercises provide training on hardware, network interfaces and software tools which are used to troubleshoot alarms, edit the control logic, configure the Inputs and outputs (both hardwired and networked), and calibrate Servo-Actuated Valve LVDT |
