LM6000 SAC/DLE Level 2 Maintenance (Hot Section)

LM6k aero gas turbine

Instruction is designed so technical personnel responsible for the hands- on maintenance of the LM6000 will benefit most from this training. Scope of training focuses on selected Level 2 procedures identified in the applicable Operation and Maintenance manual.


Who should attend?

Owners, operators and customer personnel concerned with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the GE LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbine.


Prerequisites  


A basic understanding of your gas turbine or completion of the LM6000 Familiarization course is highly recommended, completion of the Level 1 maintenance course, as well as a reasonable level of mechanical skill and use of hand tools is required. Instruction is given in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand spoken English is required.


Course Requirements and Attire 
  • All visitors must check in at the Front Desk each morning. Please carry a picture ID. Name badges will be distributed when checking in and must be worn at all times while in the facility. Please sign out at the end of each day.

  • The required dress for this course is "business casual." Please no tank tops or shirts with inappropriate verbage or signs. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Effective March 1, 2011, the GE Energy Learning Center will become a tobacco-free campus and smoking will be prohibited in all areas of the property, including outdoor space owned by GE. This means that all employees, as well as customers, contractors and visitors will be prohibited from using tobacco products anywhere on our campuses, including in motor vehicles. If an individual wishes to use tobacco products he/she needs to leave the campus in order to smoke or to use smokeless tobacco. Leaving campus is only acceptable during regularly scheduled lunch breaks. Leaving the property during shorter class breaks will not provide adequate time to return to class. Persons who do not comply will be asked to leave the campus.
