Gas/Steam Mark V (with I to HMI) Upgrade
This course offers training in the skills needed when transitioning from the Mark V <I> to the <HMI> operator station. Learn how to use the <HMI> for turbine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. The differences between the <I> and <HMI> are highlighted. Networking, system administration and graphics screen modifications are also covered. The course consists of a mix of classroom instruction and practical lab exercises using the <HMI> and turbine simulators.
Who should attend?
Qualified engineers and technicians who wish to gain skills needed when transitioning from the Mark V <I> to the <HMI> operator station. This course is intended for industrial gas and steam turbine users and NOT for customers with aeroderivative applications.
Prerequisites
Experienced or qualified personnel whom have already completed an approved GT Operations or Familiarization course.
Course Requirements and Attire
The appropriate dress for this course is casual. Please note that the GE Energy Learning Center is a place of business - no tank tops or shirts with inappropriate verbage or signs.
Effective March 1, 2011, the GE Energy Learning Center will become a tobacco-free campus and smoking will be prohibited in all areas of the property, including outdoor space owned by GE. This means that all employees, as well as customers, contractors and visitors will be prohibited from using tobacco products anywhere on our campuses, including in motor vehicles. If an individual wishes to use tobacco products he/she needs to leave the campus in order to smoke or to use smokeless tobacco. Leaving campus is only acceptable during regularly scheduled lunch breaks. Leaving the property during shorter class breaks will not provide adequate time to return to class. Persons who do not comply will be asked to leave the campus.
