Gas/Steam Mark VIe (with HMI) For Technicians

mkviemkvie

This course offers instruction on the hardware and software of the controller equipment. The course material and exercises provide training on the software tools that are used to troubleshoot alarms, edit the sequencing, configure the Inputs and outputs (both hardwired and networked), and calibrate Servo-Actuated Valve LVDT's and other devices. Additional class work includes information on the Cimplicity operator interface (HMI). Lectures and hands-on exercises develop a thorough understanding of ToolboxST and other software tools.

Who should attend?

Engineers, technicians, and other qualified personnel concerned with operations and maintenance of heavy-duty and aeroderivative gas turbines and Balance of Plant systems using the Mark VIe control. This course is intended for industrial gas and steam turbine users and NOT for customers with aeroderivative applications.

Prerequisites

  • A basic understanding of turbine or plant equipment and operations.
  • Reasonable computer skills (an ability to navigate the interface operating system).
  • Instruction is given in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand spoken English is required.
